On an annual basis, the American Advertising Federation of Greater Frederick hosts a Portfolio Bootcamp in conjunction with AIGA BlueRidge for area college and design school students. This year, as a sponsorship, Viscul Creative was brought in to develop the promotional campaign for the event.
Making a long-standing event consisting of a one-on-one review of their portfolio of work by a diverse group of advertising, marketing, and design professionals, appear fresh and exciting for college students.
A concept that poked fun at a literal depiction of boots and fine art. Designed with tongue-in-cheek copy, we produced an on-point campaign that spoke to the college-aged audience.
The 2017 event was the organization’s second largest boot camp with attendance of 69 students who met with 23 portfolio reviewers and five resume reviewers.
