We partnered with Ahold-Delhaize, one of the world’s largest food retail groups, a leader in supermarkets and e-commerce, and a company at the forefront of sustainable retailing. The goal: to bring transparency and authenticity to their customer relationships.
Authenticity – The stories needed to live and breathe, to feel like a personal conversation with the food producer about where your food comes from and what ingredients are used.
Quality – Because shoppers are more apt to purchase when they feel a connection with the producer and distributor, we needed to focus on creating that connection while sharing the measures Ahold-Delhaize and its vendors take to ensure quality.
We created a library of documentary-style videos introducing the leadership and key individuals who produce the food sold in Ahold-Delhaize stores (including Stop & Shop New York, Stop & Shop New England, Giant of Landover, Giant of Carlisle, and Martins). On-site video shoots at farms, on open water, and at manufacturing plants brought viewers to where the action is while showcasing processes and ingredients, and on-camera interviews allowed food producers to tell their own stories.
Our videos have increased digital views from 1.8 million to more than 20 million in less than a year. In addition, Viscul took home seven creative awards for the series.

We not only had a blast traveling around to shoot this content, but believed in the mission to tell the stories of these producers. It’s important to be able to pull back the curtain and be transparent with your customers. Ahold-Delhaize was able to do just that and the results were fantastic.
